Joe began tattooing in 1990 and opened Alex's New Tattoo in 1994. In 2012, Joe moved to the East side of Roanoke and opened his custom tattoo studio, 9 Tattoo. Joe is able create and tattoo any subject mater with expert precision and perfection. He especially enjoys doing large scale japanese pieces, black and grey work, and portrait tattoos, but is happy to create to his client's needs and desires and has been featured multiple times in tattoo magazines. He has also been a participating artist in Matt Amey's Skull Project, Guy Aitchison's Scratch Book, and Troy Temple's book 200 Hearts.
